Rev. Gordon H. & Mrs. Ethlyn Richards

In 1978 the Lord directed my wife Ethlyn and I, to move to Chula Vista, CA, USA to work with pastors in Mexico. Prior to 1989 Love Without Borders Ministries operated in the states of Northern and Southern Baja California, as well as Western Sonora, Mexico. The initial focus was on teaching and showing 16 mm films in various churches. When a food program opened up, we were able to obtain several federal government permits from Mexico City to import food, clothing, medical supplies, vegetable seed, as well as a variety of items for the families. We imported the items through Tijuana, Mexicali and Ciudad Juarez, across from El Paso, Texas. In the Baja California area we had 151 distribution points, with a leader at each place.

My wife and I have traveled many times to Southern Africa during our years of ministry and have held conferences in many churches. In addition to going to Botswana and Namibia, I have held a conference as far north as Malawi. The books I have written are being translated into a number of the languages of Southern and Eastern Africa. One of the radio stations in South Africa asked me to write a devotional to be used on their station as well as given out to their listeners. Four quarters were completed for them.

In 1995 my wife and I ministered for six weeks in Romania, holding conferences in several churches. One of the books has been translated into the Romanian language, and one has been translated into German. Some of the material has also been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, French, Tagalog, Swahili as well as several of the languages in Southern Africa. On one occasion the book "Building Our Faith" was used in a television series in Canada, and the book on "Prayer" was used in a radio program in Fiji.

The Lord has shown us that the world’s biggest revival will take place shortly, but at the same time nations will face the most difficult times they have ever seen.  Many will be faced with major problems, with no visible solutions. He wants us to be in a position to help many during those times. We are expecting the Lord to provide the wisdom, finances and strength to accomplish our goals.

A daily or weekly devotionals:

A daily or weekly devotionals, depending on people's preference, is sent out through e-mail by our daughter Laura and son-in-law Steven Wells.  Our Website, which is under re-construction, is being maintained by our daughter Cheryll and son-in-law Charles Eldred. We have received responses from many countries around the globe including South Africa, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia and the United States of America through our website.

Books:

The door is presently open to cross borders with Christian materials, but we feel that in the future it will become very difficult. Our aim is to have a large quantity of material available in a number of countries, and get them into the hands of pastors, to train their people before the problems arise. English versions of our books are available in print and can be read in the e-books section of our website. As translations in other languages become available and time permits, we will place them in a special section of the website.

Prayer Partners:

Prayer Partners are vitally important to accomplish the goals the Lord has for us. Because prayer is the foundation for any ministry, would you and members of your Church consider becoming prayer partners with us? 1Samuel 30:24 (NIV) states: "Who will listen to what you say? The share of the man who stayed with the supplies is to be the same as that of him who went down to the battle. All will share alike." Consider sharing the rewards with us through your prayers.

May God Richly Bless You,

Rev. Gordon H. Richards
